Bless and Pray For Those Who Use And Abuse You..

March 11, 2012

This saying has been that is circulating among us..

“GOD DID NOT CALL YOU TO LET PROPLE USE YOU !”

Many may not realize that this quote/saying is not scriptural.. As we can see in Matthew 5 and Mark 6.. We are not are to worry about being used but bless and pray for those who uses us and abuse us…

“You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

Matthew 5

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor
and hate your enemy.’
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren
only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors
do so?
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 5

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either.
Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.
And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

“But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.
But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

Luke 6

This can be hard to comprehend in a world focused on self and, especially when many Prominent Christian Leaders are telling us God does not want us to be used.. Yet when one look at how Jesus spoke we are not letting ourselves to be used but blessing another especially our enemies as we are called to as Sons and Daughters of the Most High..

We are like a little child learning to walk and will stumble many times in this area that is why we must hold on to our Father’s hand so that when these times arise when we are about to stumble in our steps, He will make sure we do not fall when we start to trip so that we can bless others..  We must capture every thought and give it to Jesus so through the Holy Spirit  He leads us to bless, and pray instead of how the flesh demands to retaliate, abandon and expect in return..

Blessing those who revile us and wants to use us and abuse us instead of returning evil with evil.. Then when the Day comes they that have not turned to God can never claim that they were never shown the love of God.

The difference is between being used and blessing another is what is upon our hearts and our attitude towards another.. For love is always giving never worrying about receiving something in return.. If we feel we are being used then we are putting our needs before another..

Do not be deceived by the flesh by turn your back on someone for God may have just placed that person in your life so that they capture a glimpse of His Love, and reward you for your longsuffering. love and patience. Thus becoming perfect as Our Father in Heaven is perfect..

I really hope this makes sense it hard to write what is upon my heart..

May the Lord open our eyes to ways we can/are bless others when we believing or feeling we are being used..
